When it comes to gracious living, Gaggenau and Bosch appliances fit right in.
Elm Remuera is a very special residence, incorporating 13 luxury apartments on the northern slopes of Remuera. Stately and elegant, it draws inspiration from the plentiful grand homes of the surrounding suburb.
Inspiration also comes from the early 20th century home, Elmstone, the former extensive grounds of which Elm Remuera now sits. Elmstone was very much a statement in gracious living. Elm has made a similar statement, echoing the grandeur of its neighbour.
We asked Martin Cooper, Co-Developer of Elm Remuera, , to further explain the connection. “The English Renaissance style of Elmstone is subtly reflected in the timeless design of Elm which also uses beautifully crafted materials to deliver a similar sense of permanence.”
“Elmstone is set within some beautifully manicured gardens. At Elm Remuera, the same level of design consideration that went into the building itself was also invested in the surrounding landscaping and attractive rear garden, a peaceful, green oasis for residents modelled off what one might expect of a Remuera home’s backyard.”
However, arguably the biggest source of inspiration for Elm Remuera was the needs of the purchasers. Understanding what buyers want and how they use their spaces was key to informing design decisions. As Martin says, “Catering to these needs saw Elm Remuera’s apartments sell out more than one year before completion, despite the Covid times through which it was marketed and built.”
Elm offers a rich variety of apartment types. All have excellent connectivity and flow between spaces and to the views which can be enjoyed within the apartment itself and on the expansive terraces. The result is large apartments, full of light and warmth, where the living is both sophisticated and easy.
When it came to fit-out, Developers Countrywide Residences and Experiences by Coopers certainly didn’t hold back. As Martin explains, “We pride ourselves on outfitting our apartments to a high standard, which very much includes our choice of kitchen appliances. Gaggenau was befitting of the quality of Elm Remuera’s high end finishes and met the needs of our exacting purchasers. Some apartments feature a suite of NEFF and Bosch kitchen appliances instead, which was also a well-received choice. But our most luxury focused apartments benefited from the premium Gaggenau option.”
Laundries may well be hidden away, but that certainly didn’t mean they were forgotten when it came to design and fit-out. According to Martin, “Quality and reliability were at the forefront of our choice. So Bosch was an obvious choice for us. We want to be known as a developer of quality buildings with trusted, high quality brands.”
At the end of the day, Elm Remuera has come together as a very true reflection of its original vision. Gracious living.
